def. a hella clean car for brand new and the last one. they did very well on the big words to try to sell this thing, but anyone can search and find out the thing sold for less than $38k. They are trying to make a 16k+ profit.

and why they didn't make it manual still gets me. I still think my SE will be worth more from all options at the time and the last "original body style" from 06-08 with a 6spd V6. any sport coupe enthusiast will want a manual. but a show car is a show car.

lets just hope it goes to a good home and doesn't get destroyed by some 16 y/o punks first car and maybe in 25 years it will be a perfect conditioned car

Mitsubishi will not survive with 3 vehicles in its lineup.. They will have to bring back the Eclipse to compete, now that Toyota and Subaru are back in the sports coupe game.....

Although both the Eclipse and Galant are both being discontinued, sources aren't ruling out their potential return. With nearly one million units sold since its introduction way back in 1989, Mitsubishi claims the Eclipse to be the most successful Japanese sportscar in the U.S. market. And though that segment may have peaked, with rivals (like Subaru and Toyota) planning new entries, Mitsubishi could potentially re-enter the two-door market in the near future if the business case can be made.

i'm pretty sure they will carbon, there is still the tokyo motor show and a bunch others this year so they have to have concepts in the works. they have something up their sleeve. a business has to grow and mitsubishi is such a big company i don't think they will want to go under by not offering something to compete. patience young grasshoppers.

i have to say it would be nice to own such a valuable collectors item, granted it probably won't gain much value but it would still be nice to have. and i hope Mitsubishi does see the err of their ways by cutting out sports car fans out of their line up. i dont' want an endeavor, i don't want eh MiEV coffee bean car and i don't really like the new lancer. but oh well its their loss not mine. i still have my special piece of Mitsubishi history

The irony is, last or not. The fact that they are advertising it as a collectors car...Finance companies that give loans for things like Lamborghini's, Ferrari's aren't going to finance $50k for it since it was a mass produced assembly car. The joy of mitsu's high depreciation rate.
