New Clutch in the RX8...race time!

Just put a new clutch and flywheel in my sons RX8. Now it's time to run them.

Whose gonna get it!?

It will be a close race. Any mods for either of you two? It might come down to how well he can drive a manual sense you have the 5 speed auto. My money is on the Eclipse not cause I'm a fan boy but because I know what potential our Eclipses have. I haven't had a chance to race a RX8 yet but wouldn't hesitate. Money on the Eclipse!!! You might have a hard time from a dig, but not a problem from a roll. From a roll you'll most likely walk all over him. Please do both and share your outcome.

I think I'll take him. The only mods he has, as you can hear in the video, is a straight pipe with a resonator. Sounds sweet, but I don't like bringing all that attention to myself haha.
True dat Andy, they definitely piss oil, and they're such high maintenance little bitches.

Drag race I assume? You should take him. Throw in a corner or two and you'll have your work cut out for you. If the RX-8 is good for anything, it's handling.

Agreed, the Eclipse is sloppy and heavy on corners. Straight shot only.

If you had the manual you'd probably have him... But the autos just suck away power.

He's lighter and should make pretty similar power to the ground. From a roll you might have him though. On launch, I'd worry about tires more than just the rwd advantage at this power level
