Hey ya'll i just bought my black 06 GT back in March and i freakin love it... Joined the site a few days ago but ive been researchin the site for a while... I'm probably gonna start moddin here soon... i'm thinkin i'm gonna start with Ripp headers, Ripp clutch, and ingen catback exhaust. then sometime the end of the summer i want to get the Ripp Stage 2 supercharger kit. what do ya'll think?

welcome, is the eclipse with you in alaska?

do your research on ripp then decide for yourself. there is a wide variety of opinions on them

yup ive got my eclipse up here... so far ive only seen 2 other GT's one red and one yellow both automatic... and 3 GS's 2 black and an orange all three automatic... i'm really leanin on the ripp... theres not a whole lot of options on shops that could do custom installs on a turbo which is what i wanted originally... i'm gettin in real good with some local car clubs and stuff and the guy thats gonna help me with my installs might be the first guy within 500 miles to get a dino in his shop so i'm lookin forward to that

Well mechanically there is nothing wrong with ripp, at least not any more. However I would seriousley consider tuning on your own cause there tuning computer is so-so. It does allright for a general tune but every car and enviroment are different and require a different tune to get the most out of it. O ya and keep it from going kaboom

if you go rippmods bye it all from them the kit is made to work best with there headers, believe me i had it installed on my 4g there electronics must be retuned for it to work best there pretune is very rich but will work fine.

cool thats what i'm doin so far... i just ordered ripp headers, ripp clutch, and an ingen exhaust... that should all be here within the next 2 weeks... oh and i got some ripp motor mounts too... i'm pretty stoked!!

IMO you should go with RRE headers, Get the RIPP Tuners Kit, Some Injectors and the AEM FI/C for tuning

i'm in the air force and was in the base flying club before the closed it down due to funding issues... i used to fly quite a bit but now i dont really have the time or money do do it... all the money goes in the car and the 4 wheeler... havin trouble uploadin pics but its all stock right now so when i start gettin some stuff done i'll figure out the picture thing

ok so far the update is i got my headers and my clutch... anyone know what stage clutch ripp might have sent me... i thought it was a ripp clutch and i ordered it through them but it came from clutchmasters so i'm still tryin to get that one... anyway i got those but i'm still waitin on my exhaust... its backordered and i kinda wanna do everything at once.

Also does anyone know what the going rate would be for a clutch install, headers, and the exhaust.... i just wanna make sure i'm not gonna get ripped off thinkin its a good deal but its actually way too much? thanks for the help.

so i just got my "motor mounts" in from ripp and i'm a bit confused... i only got one red plastic thing which i guess is a motor mount... i though it would be a set of em or at least some bolts and stuff... is this right??? i almost feel like i got the wrong stuff...... o well

one more day and i get my exhaust then i can get it all installed!!

ok so i was lookin on the ripp site and they eliminated the staged supercharger kits and i'm a bit confused... is there no difference iin the kits now except the pullys? i am pretty excited about the stage 3 pulley though... anyone have any feelings on the AEM FIC tuner... any good... hard to install??

no they still have superchargers but its not the stage 1 and stage 2 kit like before... now its the tuners package so you can get some other stuff i guess... not really sure whats goin on but it will probably be a while before i can afford one anyway

really stage 4??? well as it turns out i spent all my money on my parts and now can't afford the install... the guy wants to charge me 1000 to do headers, exhaust, clutch, and a motor mount... i wont have that kind of money till i sell my 4 wheeler so i'm waitin on that one for a while... as for the penguin... i wish that would be chill as hell but no...

depends on what your lookin for and how much you wanna spend... you can get a full exhaust (ingen), CAT back exhaust (magnaflow), or and axle back which is esencially just a muffler (HKS). i bought the Full Ingen system that hopefully will be going on real soon... thats just to name a few you have to do your own research and see what works for you... use the search bar and you'll find whatever you need... check out this thread to get you started... Different Exhaust for GT & GS
