hey everyone im new to the forums and i recently just got a 2006 gt v6 6 speed manual in blue.. im from the ny area ... anyone from the long island area ? does anyone know of a good short shifter kit made for the v6 ? thnx

Welcome, if you read in some other post youll see a descion on the TWM short shifter, not sure if they have one for the gt yet, but i do kno you can get the one for the gs but youll lose your reverse lock out

Go to eclipseresource.com and they have a short shifter for the GT and you wont lose the reverse lock out.

TWM makes a short shifter for the GT, but it doesn't lower the shifter height. Recently, one of our members tried out the GS shifter on the GT and it works fine, but you lose the reverse lock (as of now... Someone may figure out a way to keep it

damn that shifter is a waste then i thought the shifter height was shorter... why do they even call it a short shifter kit ? whats the benefit of having that over the stock shifter?

welcome! im fairly new too.. just got my 06 sunset pearlescent GT in stick back in october.. and im from long island too.. but im a met fan.. i dont talk to yankee fans... lol.. jk. they're both doin horrible now anyways.
