New to the 4g.org thang
hello all, some of you may recognize me if you ever frequent club3g as has having the only 6g74 powered 5spd swapped galant. i have become more and more interested with the 6g75's ability to make power so ill be here doing some research and R&D in my quest to have the highest horsepower N/A galant ever. lol so maybe not ever but i would like to show that these motors can deliver as many other V6's have in the past. thanks for having me and i bring no drama.

You and I both, brother
![]() There's already tons of information out there on the '75. Of course, the cake goes to the '75-M variant, which spells the difference between what most other V6 Mitsubishis have and the 4G GT. Truth be told, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you could bolt '75-M heads to your car. itman3s, in the MIVEC Heads thread, has already succeeded in doing so with a '72 block. The good thing with his setup is that he's got the AWD tranny going for him. I have no doubt that the '72's displacement is sufficient enough, but the heads make the difference ![]() In his case, it's really practically the same procedure as mating a '74 block to the '72 DOHC heads. Take the larger set of accessory mounts and call it a day! And now that you have the '74 block, it won't take much at all to put '75-M heads in there. That is, if that's your goal. Yes, we need more people who can talk pure gearhead and engine around here. I'm starting to think we have a severe deficiency of it. Glad to have you

glad to be here and glad you saw the thread. ive been viewing the thread you're talking about and got to see the pics of his tt build. absolutely crazy.
as far as the heads go i would like to see how the 75 variant heads all compare to each other. i found a set of endeavor heads for $300 but really dont see a benefit if the regular heads flow as much as mine do now. i would think that the 75-M heads flow more than the regulars but im sure thats due to the cam profiles because if im not mistaken the valves between the 72, 74, and 75 are all the same diameters for intake and exhaust. if that is the case it just matters how the combustion chambers and valve seats are shaped together and whether they will allow for the increase in valve diameter. from the looks of it, the 75 heads have a reshaped combustion chamber that looks bigger than on the heads i have. if i find that is true i may end up doing the swap to gain headway on this goal of mine. |

Hope you don't mind all the compliments, but it's really refreshing to have people who can talk technical around here. Even if it's just to try to find out a little more about stuff that's akin to this platform/engine - it's still far more refreshing than talking about intakes and HIDs and wheels all day every day!
![]() I think the site has yet to mature in that regard, but it's easy to see why it's taken a while considering the economy and all. But as you can see, the tides are changing, and people are starting to now venture off into the daring. We've had a LOT of GT people stretch the limits wrt bolt-ons, but not really to the extent that a lot of money has been invested in the big gainers, like itman3s has. I have to say I'm torn, personally. But I have to gauge myself, as I've been in your shoes - with the 3G. I think I want to explore a different route with the 4G. Eventually it'll get the engine and boost treatment too. But I want to make sure it can handle all the power. ![]() Yeah, I'm taking the other, less-considered part, of the power equation first. But ohhh it makes me drool just thinking about it!
