anyway, like i said in a previous thread. the officer saw it fit to issue a citation, thats one thing, if your guilty of the accusation is completely different. sounds to me you can return it to stock take some pictures, with the newspaper date visible, present it to the judge, and probably have it dismissed. expect to pay court costs regardless.

rumor is, citations are being handed out like crazy, more so due to the recession, obviously to make money. even if your innocent youll pay a fee, pretty shitty huh?

The police department returned my call and said that it is illegal to remove any factory exhaust parts I said yes thats true if it's a cat-converter or manifold but not a muffler the magnaflow is a regular street muffler not single chamber or cannister EPA tested and approved to be within all states decibel and emissions standards i had no problems with paying for a test to prove so and they laughed so i'm going to run them threw the mud and they will lose

I got pulled over for a my tint like 3 days ago and I had to convince him my exhaust was stock cause I'm the "ralli///art" edition. Stupid asshole ate it up.

this is all bass ackwards.....you're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.....not proving your innocence......how did the officer prove that you were modded? did he own a stock eclipse? is he an authority on the subject? did you ask him for proof that you were modded when you were pulled over?

I had an officer laying on the ground on the side of the freeway trying to look at my muffler to prove it to me.....unfortunately for him I'm rolling on sportlines and you can't just get under my back bumper......I drove away before he finished telling me I could leave....

an officer is sworn to "protect and serve".....ask him who he's protecting and serving by guessing that you might not be stock......

you don't understand . nismo mugen trd ect. are legal exhaust that A: come with the car B: bought from a vender .

its legal for them because they can tune the piping on said exhaust to make it friendly as possible

aftermarket is anther story ..

its up to the officer to write that ticket . if he feels its to loud then its a ticket for you !!!

Vehicle: '07 GT, Ultra Red Posts: 3,085 Rep Power: 8	this is all bass ackwards.....you're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.....not proving your innocence......how did the officer prove that you were modded? did he own a stock eclipse? is he an authority on the subject? did you ask him for proof that you were modded when you were pulled over? I had an officer laying on the ground on the side of the freeway trying to look at my muffler to prove it to me.....unfortunately for him I'm rolling on sportlines and you can't just get under my back bumper......I drove away before he finished telling me I could leave.... an officer is sworn to "protect and serve".....ask him who he's protecting and serving by guessing that you might not be stock......
