I'm debating between a 2003 Zo6 I found with 12,000 original miles and a new gt. The cost would be about the same. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks, I,m leaning towards the gt as well because of the warranty. Both cars are rocket fast but I think the vette looks better. So maybe I'll flip a coin.

They both have over 400hp, but the vette is 500# lighter. They both have a good aftermarket so performance parts for either is not a problem.

wow....theres actually someone in the forum who actually thinks like i do...i would probably have the same problems.... 5.7 ls6 = 405(425 actually because it was underated) or 5.0= 412hp!!! too hard to decide..what ever u pick man is good!!! so good luck

the z06 is no joke. (interchangeable parts from other LS motors, different combos can make tons of power) but anything after market for a vett is no joke either.

my brother just got a new stang 5.0 and he waxes my LS truck like it isn't shit. but with new also comes with new prices on anything aftermarket. (example: magnaflow exhaust kit for 2010=$700, the same kit for a 5.0=close to $1600)

both cars are beautiful and are fast but i would lean towards the warranty 5.0 cuz if the vett breaks (anything) its not cheap lol

Ya thanks, they say the mustang is underated to, more like 435. Speed wise they feel about the same. The mustang has a smoother engine and trans, more refind then the vette. They both pull hard, the mustang feels more modern like a Lexus would feel with twin turbos and the vette is like a top fuel dragster, just a beast. Best 1/4 times I've seen for both stock below. I cant make a decide on anything to save my life. but thats what club 4g is for making my decisions. Thanks for the input everyone.

Thanks, all great points. I think I like the vett better overall but as you've said broken parts for vetts ain't cheap. And I plan breaking the hell out of which ever one I pick.

4G = daily driver (2x2)
Z06 = weekend/summer spin (2 seater)

The 5.0 is nice but from the outside, you'd have to look at the back to tell it's the 5.0 or the 6 cylinder. Z06 any day over a Mustang unless it's a Cobra.

NEWER american muscle sucks in general.. only thing we ever did right was a viper and im not sure to consider that muscle or not..

id take a challenger or an older charger. or a cuda. or a judge ANY day over a mustang and a vette.. too common. over rated.

Why would you get a over weight, solid axle, plan jane car over a slick, light weight, great handling car?

The z06 is the way to go. Stock they are hitting 11.8 in the 1/4 mile. Doubt the new 5.0s can even get close. Plus it looks better, and handles better. And the Gas mileage is better.

Everyone does have their own opinion. And, I do hate mustangs and love the c5 and up vettes.... but I like cars that can go around curves.
