Do they sell it over here? I was under the impression it was only sold over seas.

The redline on my zx6r starts at 16.5k... but damn a 20k redline on a single piston 250cc bike is crazy!

I am getting it dirt cheap because it is a good friend who is selling it to me. I am guessing that I will end up upgrading at some point in time anyway.

Im sure the older 250's are quite similar, but the new 250s sip gas! I could just cruise and never get on it and see like 70mpg.

I 100% agree with this statement, very wise choice to start small.

My current ride is a 2006 Yamaha Warrior 1700
Here is a picture of my 1987 Suzuki GSXR750. In its day it was a pretty unique motorcycle and still turns heads. I'm the original owner and I'm doing a bit of a restoration on it now. |

Unless you're planning on stunting it too, I'd say be careful. Stunt bikes are badly abused and may have frame damage and overall integrity jeopardized. That bike prolly spent alot of time on one wheel (if not on its side), which means valves have been deprived of oil for lengths at a time. Fork seals failing from coming down hard on the the front tire. Chain is most likely stretched. Rims may be beat or bent. Rear sprocket most likely has been swapped out specifically for wheelies...... not worth is unless you're going to stunt it till it dies.

2007 GSXR750- I put about 5K miles on it and then sold it to a kid from Columbus that paid cash for it and all the cash smelled like weed. The bank teller looked at me funny when I deposited into the bank. It was a great bike!

Ok so a few things. You guys have some beautiful rides... What does everyone think of Triumphs? I want a Daytona 675 SOOO bad, but think I should start small, I have very little riding time. And does anyone own, or know anyone who owns, a FI (07+) Harley Sportster?... I may have purchased a turbo kit on a whim, got a good price, but I want the money for my Eclipse!!! Sorry if that's a thread jack...

The triumph 675 is a decent starter bike. If you want to Goo smaller for experience time the hyosung gtr 250 is a excellent starters bike. They are extremely good looking bike, have a bit more power then the ninja 250, and Sv250. Plus it is a unique bike because not many people know about them and they aren't that expensive. Look them up and see for yourself.
