So i finally came to realize i was never going to get the performance i wanted out of the eclipse without investing much more than i was willing to put into it. Im going to keep modding the eclipse little by little and it will more than likely be my show car.
So the opportunity came up and i was able to pick up this 2014 EVO X GSR fresh off the trailer The only mods im planning to do to it in the near future are window tint, HID's, mud flaps, and maybe the vortex generators.
The one thing with evos Is just and intake and exhaust they need to be tuned to get the power out of the mod. I've looked into this so much. Your better of piling up a bunch of mods and then put them on one morning the go get the car tuned later that day otherwise it will run super lean or rich depending on what mods.
and it was the same case with my mustang...on the forums it said, with a cai, you HAVE to tune it. But if your MAF is the same (some cai's come with a bigger maf sensor and hole) then it does not need a tune...the CAI i got used factory maf, and the car runs super fine! better than before
In any case, you will get more out of your mods with a tune, and yeah some cars run lean or rich without a tune. I always knew that was with the case with which gas you put in without a tune and different size throttle bodys and maf sensors
Beautiful machine, I know its hard to stay motivated with the 4g due to lack of aftermarket support but that's what makes us better than the rest we actually work for our horse power!
Dang! Nice ride! I wish Evos weren't so expensive. Those and a WRX STI are my dream import rides but oh so spendy.
