The reason that douche bags drive them is because they are so cheap to get. When teens that don't know shit about a car can get a fast car for cheap, and then a lot start getting them, that is how the car gets a bad name.

I hate em.....it's a neon with a turbo. They are ulgy as hell. Front the front I can say they look alright but once i see the sides and back im like wtf?? Idk I would personally rather have a SI or something over that shit box. Even the Colbolt SS would do.

Srt-4's are ragged on for a variety of reasons, but the #1 reason I see personally is people who hate because these cars are pure straight line dogfighters. Sure it looks like a neon, but the intercooler staring you in the face lets you know what dodge was thinking. Speed on a budget, and they hit the nail on the head. Well, besides the trucker shifter and shitty suspension. Oh yeah, and the roll up back windows.

I've ridden in a stage 3, and that car punches most mustangs right in the mouth from any kind of roll. LSD keeps it in a straight line for the most part, and boost lag is almost non existent. If I wanted the fastest car I could afford, I would have chose the SRT over my GT. Instead, I chose a car that is relatively quick, and WAAAAYYY better looking.

Oh I like them. I have quite a few friends with them and I have worked on them plenty of times.

The only one I would pay 12k for though is the ACP (the white and blue one)

Sounds like the guy just got shitty cheap tires. My bud had some good grips and I could nail it in 2nd and it would grip.

Srt4 is fast but very unsafe, thats why its such a cheap sports car, they cut cost doing alot of shit.

You still looking for an srt4 or going with the civic? I saw that your in NY and when I got my car in elmira,NY they had a silver srt4 for pretty cheap. And the new civic si's are pretty quick, just lack torque, like most civics

but when i went to the dealer and was going to put a down payment they ran my credit and ouch . 389 month for the si but my friend john. that works at that dealer (vw dealer) said wait i can get you a good deal on a gti or gli

and for the record i think im on my 6th car that went down hill to buying
