My other CAR... 95 Comp T/A...
I have owned this car since 95... it has exactly 60,234 miles... they only produced 164 but was planning on making a total of 200... i have the 9th one ever issued... What makes a Comp T/A a Comp T/A is that when GM gives a car to SLP to modify and return back to the dealers... If they give SLP a Firebird it turns into a FireHawk... but if SLP is lucky enough to grab a Trans Am it turns into a Comp T/A... seeing that the T/A is no longer around the cars "rareity" (not sure if it is a word or not but) is high... everyone looks alike... they are all Silver with a somewhat look-a-like carbon stripe... i hope you like the pics... i want to take some action shots with my good cameras... but its seems inever have time or the weather is crappy... anyways... i'll post if i get around to it...

Now for the real stats on the Comp T/A's: First, you have to start with a special order T/A with the following from Pontiac: * - V87S + Y82 Trans Am Coupe or T-Top * - Bright Silver Metallic Exterior - 13 * - AQ9 Ultima Graphite Leather Buckets * - 1SA Option Package * - R6V Merchandising Option Code * - T43 Trans Am Spoiler * - GU5 Performance Axle (Automatics Only) * - QLC High Performance Tires Second, SLP will add the following goodies to your ride. * - Uniquely-Styled hood and cold air induction package (More commonly known as Ram-Air now!) Please note, the Comp T/A hood is of composite construction. * - Dark gray 10" wide center stripe’ * - Matching gray 'Comp T/A' headlamp door and wheel center cap graphics * - 3-Dimensional matching gray 'Comp T/A' door graphics * - 17 x 9 5-spoke Firehawk style alloy wheels(Speedline) * - BFG P275/40ZR17 Comp T/A performance tires * - Dual cast aluminum exhaust tips * - Sport Suspension Package (Std. with manual coupe, Opt. with auto., N/A with -Tops) * - Hurst Shifter with custom leather wrapped shift knob (N/A with auto) * - Heavy Duty embroidered 'Comp T/A' floor mats * - 'Comp T/A' Cloisonne' numbered dash plaque (1 to 200) and Two(2) matching key fobs * - Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil and rear axle oil, semi-synthetic power steering lube and a premium synthetic media oil filter For a few bucks more SLP will add: * - Sport Suspension Package (if you have an auto) * - BF Goodrich's Comp T/A ‘R1’ Competition series ultra performance tires mounted and balanced on an additional set of 'Comp T/A' wheels. well there is a few things you found out i did even know but, i would of dumped all that and more if i thought somebody really cared... so here we go...
The exhaust was a single in dual out steel muffler -Replaced With: Single in single out Flowmaster 40 series dumped directly behind the axle... Plus a Test Pipe... People love it becuase unlike most states LA doesn't check emissions or that matter most of the safety requirements at all... so i dumped it to create more bounce... I have wanted to put the super 40 single in dual out with some tips but... im telling you i am haing trouble finding something that will fill the space and look good... i want a fit like the Acura TL ot the Chevy Arcadia... no luck so far -Replaced With: LT1 Street/Strip Hydraulic Roller Cam .510"/.510" and a Flow Plate that fits it the throttle body. -Replaced With: New Votech Heads... The Intake consisted of the box you see, a weak mass air flow sensor, and a crappy airfilter -Replaced With: K&N and a upgraded Mass air flow sensor once my other one went out... System was the stock tape player and their Monsoon sound system -Replaced With: Panasonic Ghost deck... Focal components... and Focal Kevlar 6 1/4 & 6x9s... which are powered by a 375watt Eclipse highs amp... two 10" Eclipse Alums in my hand built Fiberglass enclosure... that was then wrapped in space foam and then Leather... which is powered by two 500watt Eclipse MONO amps... an optium batter Red Top with 3 Feret Cap... and a 50 watt fuse... Blacked out... Had before it was played out... Had 2 Slim 7" screens in the visors and had my PS2 that was built in to glove box with wireless remotes... I do miss going to school and meeting all my friends b4 school to play Teken Tag / Devil May Cry 2...  i think that is it... plus to add to the list you aquired... With a Comp T/A you get a 3 x 1 1/2" Key ring, a custom owners manual that explains the cars birth (mine was made in Canada in the 4th plant), a transmission that is equiped with a rev extender (shift kit) and 6 months of free oil changes  |

Very nice Trans Am, I love those cars!! What is Comp TA? Ive heard of WS6, but never heard of the Comp TA. Is that a factory option??

I see that you have a time slip posted with a 10.89 and I was wondering if that is your car?? I see its a LT1 or LT5 motor?? BTW I absolutely LOVE the pic with the wheel coming off the ground

b/c thats not me... i would have posted tons of text saying... "check this out"... but i didn't b/c i figured everyone would notice the t tops... and the BIG as Pontiac windsheild brow... that is a buddy of mine who went crazy... that is his time and he has a LT1 that is blown with 100 shots... he has gutted everthing and the thing lives on a dyno... "he is a rich kid" tho... i think i got a shot of it lately... i just posted it b/c the only pics i have of it r the ones at the top... the studio shot isn't mine either...
oh and his car is 97th while mine was 9th... but an ways let me answer your questions... As stated in all those paragraphs... the Comp T/A is a trans-am given to SLP for a face lift... the firehawk is a firebird that was given to SLP... what you see on my car is what every Comp T/A looks the same... and has the same options for the most part (T tops and the sound system)... but i should take it out and get some more shots of it... |

i think he has 385 on the roof scoope (but he likes to play jokes)... i really have know idea... i know he called me last july and he was at 600hp... at the wheels but it was his base run b4 he changed his injectors-heads-and his rear end... he is nuts... I don't do anthing that i don't have a basic understanding of... and well as soon as he went boosting it went over my head... He was talking about buying a crate motor-and swopping some things off of his 10.2 2004 GTO... he sent me the time sheet back in june b4 he dynoed a 600+... he wanted to get to 6 really bad when we went to highschool but once he got it... hes been talking about 7-8s ever since... he drives a Mercedes G55 AMG (with 22" yes 22"s i make fun of him about it all the time)... as his DD and he owns a 1981 S10 with a 400 block in it... hes got a turbo on it and it has a small fuel cell right in the middle of the bed... its the smallest one i ever seen... but ill e-mail him and ask for new photos and if he posted anything lately... |
