Broken Key

Yea... its broken.

I have only the one key, and i happen to have a transponder - enlaid unit.

I have a blank, cut and ready to go, turns and everything. But of course the transponder isnt programmed so it wont start.

I'd really rather not spend 100$+ having the new key programmed, does anyone have another route i could take?

Can't hotwire a transponder car. That's the point.

if you take the plastic out around the stearing wheel there will be screws for the key cylinder you can take the key cylinder out and then its just a slot put a screwdriver in the slot and it might start idk if the transpoder is in the cylinder or in the ignition switch

oooooor. get a remote starter. they use a key with the transponder in the dash somewhere, or in your case, maybe just the transponder. once its in there any key with the right cut will start it. mod and fix in 1

FYI my dealer said $88 dollars to program a second key for me, if i had a transponder key already cut (which i do). not as expensive as i'd heard, i suppose it was since i will supply the second key.
