car alarm problems

after installing my carbon fiber hood.. my car alarm seems to go off randomly.. it happens all the time... i think it has to do with being lighter and not pushing down hard enough on the pin.. does anybody else have this problem and know how to fix it ? i talked to a mitsu mechanic and he told me that the only way to fix it is to disconnect the alarm, and that is something he cannot do being a mitsu employee...

i was hoping i could find some sort of fix for this to keep it from triggering all of the time.. thanks a lot guys

i figured it out for myself.. and instead of deleting the post... ill post what i did incase anybody else runs into it..

i was told by mitsubishi that if you disconnect your hood alarm, it would disconnect your entire alarm on your car.. but after testing it, this is not true... it is okay if you disconnect your hood alarm, the rest works fine..

there is a pressure button on the left side of your engine bay under the hood.. when your hood goes down, it pushes the button in... carbon fiber being light, sometimes does not push it down all the way...

there are a few things that can be done...
1.. you can just use ties or tape and tape it down so its always down..
2.. you can disconnect it, this will not disable your entire alarm system, i have tested it.
3.. you can the sensor out of its mounting system and modify it with some sort of wedge/ washer so it sits a few mm/cm higher in the mount.. then more pressure will be applied by the hood to hold it down..

if this has already been covered, im sorry for the double post.. if not, i hope it helps somebody out.. my neighbors were starting to get a little angry with me..
