Komiko gets a new top!!

I noticed the other day that Komiko's top was wearing thin in two spots equidistant from the back window. I put the top half way up and saw that the mechanism underneath was rubbing the fabric and had almost worn through. I took it to the dealer and was told it was covered and a new top will be put on next week!!

I thought they would fight me and say "Putting on those eyelids caused the problem", but they were very cool about it ....

interesting.....thats a pretty major design flaw. looks like they are going to be replacing ALOT of tops

The tech told me that he had only seen it one other time. It's caused by incorrect placement of one of the straps on the mechanism.

I just had it looked at the night before last. He's going to order it (about a week, he said) and can put it on in one day. I hope that answers your question.

UPDATE!! New top has been on for two weeks. I took it in to have them put it down for the first time yesterday. I noticed that it's MUCH looser than the previous one. The tech said it needs to go back to be tightened up. I drop Komiko off on Monday. DAMN IT!!
