Warranties
Hey everyone,
Question on warranties. I got this 07 Spyder used and I didn't get the extended warranty because the sales guy at the ex mitsu dealer (where I got the car) said that the the warranty was up in 2012 (?) or close to that. The extended warranty would have cost me an additional $1,200 and would be up in 2013. So for a extra year I didn't think that the money was worth it. The only problem is the only the extended warranty would of enabled me to get work done anywhere on my car not just at the Mitsu dealer. The only Mitsu dealer around here is 10 miles away and is a crook (I heard that the owner is in the big house). Is there anyway to get around this? Brian

Not that I need any work. I had to get some little odds and ends for the roof cover and the sunviser. I have this issue thin that when other people work on my stuff the never do it right. Hense the nice tool collection I have that people working on my stuff left in other cars that I had......I used to be in the service industry and I worked on cars then computers. I tried to get the parts off of warranty but they said I would have to leave the car. Ha Ha I said. and paid for the parts.

I think your SOL. Warranty work really can only be done by a dealership. It has to do with the time and parts used in the job being billed to Mitsubishi headoffice.

You bring your car in and the (The Dealer) charges the parent company. Then they keep the serial number and order more parts against it plus labor. They use those parts and labor fees and fix other customer's car. So the other customers pay for their cars and so does the parent company. Stores that fix electronic stuff were great for that.
