My Sporty GT vs BFs RSX Type S

me and my boyfriend were coming home from burlington nj. he is always talking trash on how he can beat me and how he has a 4cyclinder stick and i have a gt automatic and how he can smoke me. SO were at the red light he's looking at me im looking at him like when this light turns green its about to be all over. So instead of me just flooring it, I slapped it over, to the 5 speed part. As soon as that light turned green we went. at 1st we were toe to toe. Then i switched in into 2nd then went to 3rd it was all over. Now he lies and says he wasnt really trying. Knowing damn well he was

Any K2x variant, even with a K22 or K24 can't match the sheer output of the 6G75-M. Heck, even the "mighty" F22 can't match that, if only for the fact that, really folks... N/A 2.2L vs 3.8 for torque? Come on!

Any elementary school kid with or without a calculator can tell you that even with figuring in weight to power (for dummies that's weight / power), a 4G GT will beat any late-model Honda out there. I can't be certain, but I do believe the transmission mated to the F22 doesn't have that wonderful dual-output shaft wonder that is the BG6 mated to the 6G75-M.

Anyone with a recent model Honda... even the wonderful-for-mommy '08 Accords/Inspire EX-Ls... are dreaming. And if folks really want an objective comparison citing "oh but well it's got a 6-speed...
2008 Accord EX-L gear ratios:
Curb weight = 3,446
  • 1st = 3.933
  • 2nd = 2.478
  • 3rd = 1.700
  • 4th = 1.250
  • 5th = 0.976
  • 6th = 0.771
  • Rvs = 4.008
    ---------------
  • FGR = 3.550

2006 Eclipse GT gear ratios:
Curb weight = 3,472
  • 1st = 3.214
  • 2nd = 2.238
  • 3rd = 1.535
  • 4th = 1.171
  • 5th = 1.085
  • 6th = 0.790
  • Rvs = 3.456
    ---------------
  • FGR (1st-4th) = 3.777
  • FGR (5th-6th) = 3.238
Ohh yeah. It's a mommy car alright.

Maybe if we talked about the Genesis I might be a tad bit more interested.

the Genesis is gonna be so overrated and over priced when it comes out. Comming from ownign a hyundai alreadly i can tell you that they arent bad cars but...

- they DO NOT stand by their 10 year warrantry
- they are they absolute worst cars to mod ever...every mod you do brings some kind of problem, and there is always something "custom" you need to do
- and their resale value is so shitty you gotta drive the car till it blows up

Ever since my buddy left with his blue Type-S I haven't found anymore around here that are willing to race but my friend Miller, but his car is all show (speakers, etc) and refuses to race me lol.

So that leaves me with a 600 FWHP RSX Type-S - no thanks ;P

I dunno the Type S is a beast, all of them that I've seen are at least 300+whp and weight reduced

A RSX TypeS is an easy kill for sure. A budy at work has one and he can't even keep up when where NOT racing. lol

Still a fun car though.

dont get to happy i no for a facted rsx-s can be easy moded into a fast car gotta understand the k20z1 is a very strong power plant that gives alot of wheel hp even stock

pretty much as ex: the new k20z3 [si] cant keep up with shit gets around 170 to 180 whp stock the 05 and 06 rsx-s only not 01 04 those are slow fuckers any ways the 05 to 06s make almost 188whp stock coming from a 210hp non sae rating

pretty much what im getting at is it a 05 and 06 or a 01-04 ?

gotta watch out for the 05's and 06's

ive been in the car with him racing other rsx's. He has the 2006 version type s manual. I have a 07 eclipse gt. He has a cold air aem v2 and i have a regular cold air intake and exhaust. We went to a meet one time for hondas and rsx. they are pretty quick.

im guessing they would they never changed the exhausts what they did was do the body over in the front and alittle in the back

im not sure i never owned a 01 to 04

and for the 10hp they gave it came from stronger cams

I'd walk an RSX Type S all day. Not to say i don't like them becouse i realy do. I got a friend who just baught one and hes already got parts being shiped to my house to be put on it. Its our next project but i still don't see it being a huge threat after all the bolt-ons. But its still alot nicer of a car then most on the market.

I haven't lost to an RSX Type-S yet, even an 05 with its added super duper power!

Another Track Day Out...was over 90 degree outside - Video

That video was cut short due to the battery, but watch the start, not any better at the end lol

We ended up with the best run of that day is a 14.6 and his was a 14.8 - he had wheel hop issues (and we used ES Motor Mounts on it).

So like I said, been there done that, not pulling shit out of my ass

Driver Mod pawns all, I've had people swear up and down that my car couldnt run any faster than a 15.4 stock and I managed to get a 14.9 out of it that same day.

Just takes the right tweaks and adjustments to your driving style, i.e. driver mod

Same car, Eclipse was built off my car

Just don't have MIVEC, or VTEC or fuck tech whatever the hell you want

And my fastest run was a 13.8 @ 103 with a 2.1 60 foot thank you

I love being at sea level and picking up stickyness from the drag cars.
