even the LT1 would get hurt by a GT. stock for stock the GT pulls it up top. i will tell you from experience. from a dig they are dead even.

the v6 would be a good race for a stock or slightly modded GS. they are dog slow. my old 3gGT destroyed v6 camaros...

i messed w a late model stock camero and boy he was fast.

I used to see a lot of people lost dragging because they didn't really know how to bang the gears. Knew nothing about power-shifting at the right time.
It's like playing pool everyone things they know how to shoot pool there are two way of winning at the game, one way is to shoot better than your component. The other is to let your component shoot worse than you.
