Eh personally I don't think it looks as good on an all black car as just the aftermarket tail lights do, but if you like it, hey, go for it and be original!

Personally, and no offense here. I really dont think it could look any worse. It makes them stick out like a sore thunb instead of flowing. I didnt like it even one bit when I seen it on that red one I believe it was on the other forum.

Of course if you like it its your car, and as always you should do what you want to it.

If only there were some way to change the little bumper light/reflectors on the bottom of the bumper... Perhaps a smoked alternative will make the tail lights look better?

Eh, I'd leave the red tinting to the Kalapana Black. Not so hot on the Sunset Pearlscent.

i didn't want to black the tails because i don't plan on getting black rims or black projectors so i think it would look rather odd to have black tail lights and thats it

I agree ether, maybe not necessarily on the sunset pearl, but on a black car with tint/black housing lights both front and back and gunmetal(ish) rims I think that the tint would look great

He does but it's only the housing that is black, not the glass/plastic/whatever covering it.

Can't justify a Photochop, because it may or may not come out differently in real life. We'll see. All I know is, it'll look pretty sweet and original.

Did you ever decide to get this done, either red or black NotUrAvg4g? If so, I'd love to see RL pics instead of a photoshop, to see what it looks like

ok so i tried this out today with the film and long story short, i'm no fuckin tinter and if you aren't don't bother trying, you'll just end up punching the light. so i'm either gonna try and pick up a stock pair and spray them or take it to a tint shop this week and see if they can do it.

Are you laying it with 1 piece of film? Because of the contour of taillight assembly is unique, you'll have a hard time squezing out those bubbles without it crumpling in places. This is why you have to use a heat gun so mold the tint into place.

yes i did sorta use one...cheap hair dryer, but yea the bubbling was an issue no matter how much i squeegee'd that damn thing, they keep coming back, also the sharp angle towards the trunk, is not very forgiving

It takes practice, but I think it''s easier if you spray than lay film over it.
