So I made It out to Import Face off Tucson This sunday!Hate to say it but I didnt Win shit in The car show!(I should have just raced lol)My girl said I was gonna win In her opinion and So my hopes were broke atleast I won in her eyes !Butt...In the End No trophy!!!So I am going To get busy and hit it hard this year No more saying I want this or that ITs just gonna be I need that and That so I made this thread for Blue prints and advice/opinions!So Here It Goes!!!

IMO I would nix the lambo kit or at least save it for very last. With the cam lock 5 points your going to need a roll harness bar so add that to the list. I have the proton kit from nitrous express. Its a little more complicated but would Reccomended it. You will also need the purge kit with it at very least. I would Reccomended picking up the rsd from rico too.

I've heard some bad things about drilled and slotted rotors and would say just to go with the centric slotted from rre. Pick up the ss lines while your at it. The seats we have now act well and function as racing seats so the aftermarket option is just a look option in reality.

The 4 or 5 points don't matter. The thing that matters is they have to be harness bar mountable. The harness bar can be found on ebay for around 100. Then some custom brackets need to be made or you can find a 78 ford custom and pull out the seat belt brackets at a junks yard. I have the proton kit with a white bottle. No reason to like one over the other. Work in generally the same way except the wot switch is external in the proton kit so it can be easily replaced instead of having to buy a whole new unit. I also noticed the gauges. your def going to want a wideband af ratio gauge that will run you 200 alone. They don't sell those on aci as far as I know. Your better off getting those on glowshift. If your planning on nitrous you also will want to invest in a fic and harness with a tune. That's a nother 500 for parts then whatever a tune would cost. Also one step colder plugs are reccommended. Ngk inridiums run about 8 bucks a piece or so.

Ok ill go through glowshift! I was trying to stay away from aem fic controller until the end when i go back to performance but If its much needed for nos ILL get it since ill need it later on to.Got the ngk plugs!ShitAll i can do after i get all that is add a s.c. and rebuild motor and a few odds and ends!

all the IFO judges ive met HATE to be talked to.....just have a display set up with all your info on it. i hate to say it, but brand names win the show.

Its ok I see all my flaws and ill fix em! lower,stance,audio,paint and display.How could we not be most looked at,in a import show i love the 4g eclipse!

wow man - thats going to be utterly sick. sick sick sick. you definately got one of the toughest & most stylish GTs in the club. you are also one of the most dedicated and hard core members - as far as loyalty to and love for the 4g. I just love to see it.
Is this platform the fastest overall? No.
Does this platform have the best aftermarket variety and support? No.
Can it compare to an Evo or Supra as far as potential and efficiency and cost to mod? No.
Does it handle better then an Evo? No.
Is it expensive to mod - especially at the higher end power adders like a turbo? Yes.

the 4g is not the best in any category - except maybe sweet-ass-sexy-as-a-mf style. it may not be the very best, but it sure is a sweet platform and I don't think anyone who really knows can deny that. If all you want is speed - you can do better. If all you want is efficiency and cheap mods - you should look elsewhere. If you want RWD, then this isn't the car for you.
BUT...
If you want an eye-popping, super safe (undervalued trait), badass as in a bolt on will beat a large # of cars out there, tough as nails v6 when modded, and for sure among the highest sex appeal out there - then this car delivers.
It may not be the VERY BEST at anything - but it performs GREAT in nearly all aspects of what is important to me - and it's even still, even with the surge in popularity over the last 2 years, still pretty rare and a highly modded one is even more rare - which is VERY cool. I love seeing a badass looking sounding cobra or Evo on the street - but if I wait a few minutes - oh look: here comes another one...and another one...and another. Having something that not too many other people do is important to me.
I remember back in 06 when I first got my silver GS - people didn't know what they were looking at. I remember people asking me if it was a lexus or porsch or "what the hell is that?! it's awesome!" and still people aren't sure sometimes. I've even had girls driving GS' look at me confused at stop lights and such - then that moment of dawning hits their face and they just melt right there. I've had girls offer to leave their boyfriends and come with me - right in front of their boyfriend - on more then one occasion. I've had multiple little honeys pulling at my door handles and trying to climb in my car to come with me - total strangers on some accounts, mind you. Hell, I had one girl working a drive through nearly climb through her window and into my car - I could tell she was THIS close to trying it, but I had to hold her back. AT LEAST half a dozen times I've had to tell girls I was married but I appreciated the admiration and props. and I hardly ever go out.

anyway - love to see the dedication to this platform, Joey. I truly do. You have my respect (that is not given lightly) and I do hope you'll be around for years to come. Can't wait until you get all this on there. I sure do HOPE to be right beside you with my engine build, but as you say - it's all talk until it's done. and right now, mine sure ain't done.

idk man that most likely would have pissed them off...reving/loud music just turns you into "that guy" at the show....its good that you know what to address though....it took me 3 years to finally take home an IFO trophy and it made it all the more worth it.

I agree in being -THAT GUY- at the show I just as much hate the abnoxious ones I just wasnt set up right .plus the show here was shity not 1 sponsor or magazine and only 3 rows of cars.my girl said we wont go bak it wasnt worth it compared to other shows but it was still fun watching races-Ill go again though .Id like to try again like u did and congrats on ur win!

Right??? I attend car meet ups way bigger then our IFO ,It wasin Tucson though which is 2 hours from anything-I led a group of 50 cars from my city and they were the majority of the show!So im not sure why it was so shitty!I saw like 4 models if that!(well if you had to call them models)There were no handouts or posters or nothen?The were 3 cars for the burnout contest 1 was a rental truck lol.racers were running mainly 13s -16s??? there were a few nice runs (an 8.8 even)but shitty show over all!!!

Here we go again the tire I replaced (last week) On my malibu Got a screw in it and went through sidewall! there goes anoth $150 on the same tire! Plus I spent alot at phx wild life world zoo and NHRA Drag racing this weekend! On top of all that I raced this weekend well played around with a nismop and viper and my car fucked up It acted weird at 120 mph and had no power and kinda stayed in gear? ON a good note I just got 10k in taxes Im going to pay off my car !!!woo hooo !

I'm weighing in pretty late here, so I'll make it short and sweet as far as what I've seen. Keep in mind, this is just my preference and opinion so do what makes you happy, not what makes us happy.

Lambo doors, NO. Big, huge, no. Even Lamborghini has stopped using them. Think of where that 1k can easily go into upgrading other parts and getting quality workmanship.

Drilled and slotted, I saw OrangeDemon mention something about them... nothing wrong with them, you will get far less fade if you are racing the car. Plus you will get many more looks than slotted alone if you are showing it. The downside is that you will burn through pads a lot faster. Just get high quality pads and be prepared to replace them in half the time you used to.

Stoptechs come with upgraded lines, don't they? I was going to mention that but I'm pretty sure it's moot.

Recaro have a reputation for being high quality. Not that Sparco doesn't, but if you look inside most two million dollar race cars, you'll find Recaro.

Thanks Im busten My ass to finish to start going to car shows again and soon starting my drift car! Im still waiting to get all these parts should be any day! I did some touch up painting over the weekend with a can of spray -Cant even tell came out good for $10-15.(I had major curb rash on front bumper)
