Bumper repair?

Is this possible to be repaired?

I mean, to me it looks very fixable but I don't know much about these things.

I guess I'll find out this coming week when I take it to a body shop.

it depends on what you mean by "fixable" i guess you could always melt the parts together, use some filler, sand it down and repaint it..

why you don't paint the middle part black?
from where i can see there is not much damaged, you can do it by yourself or take it to the body shop

Urethane is hard to fix. It's doable, but it'll be weak and can be damaged again. Check prices with a local shop, it may be cheaper to go to a pick and pull.

Definitely am looking into painting the middle part black. :-) At least it will be a little different and will match well with the wheels I'm getting.

And on the fix, I am checking with the body shop this coming week. The bumper part sounds to be around $250 (certifit), plus paint, plus install. Hmmmm, maybe get the RA front bumper? (LOL!)

And when you mean "It's doable, but it'll be weak and can be damaged again" - isn't that expected even if it's another OEM part?

:-)

The urethane doesn't truly combine when you melt more in. It just kinda sticks to eachother. It shouldn't be too bad since it's just a gash in your bumper. I've had entire corner or urethand kits ripped off and never be the same.

i think u should take it to a shop... they should build a support behind the gash... then fill it... sand it then paint it... i think once they do that i'd go for the two-tone

^on the same note, is there a bumper insert i can buy that will help support the Vspeed bumper? the front part has a bit of "play" in it and i dont know if there is a way to fix it. the material needs more support...

3M makes some very good urethane repair products with the Duramix name.

TCPGlobal Home Page carries them on-line.
