HOW TO: De-Badge

*Original Post by Shapdog*

Before:

After:

First I laid down a strip of masking tape across the letters, and pushed hard where the letters appeared. This way the tape would stick to the letters.

The day was hot enough here in south Florida that I didn't use an extra heating source. I flossed the letters from left to right, and every time I pulled one off, I pulled back on the masking tape.

Once I was finished, I pulled the tape completely off and was left with the letters in the same spot and direction on the tape.

I then backed the other side of the tape, and folded the letters up for safe keeping. If i ever wanted to put the letters back one, i just peal the back layer of tape off, back the letters with new sticky tape, and center the lettering. All the spacing between the letters and angle of each has been preserved.

The next step and most challenging/frustrating, step is removing the remaining sticky tape. I was using something other than goo gone which gave me a really hard time. I grew tired and just waxed over, but there's still a slight layer of glue (u cant see in pics, only in really close distance) that i will take off 2m when i wash her.
