San Antonio, headlight ??
Anyone in SA break the lights open via the oven method? I have a spare set of headlights I wanna practice on and I just wanna make sure I do it right.
Later, Chris

I have done it. opinions vary on the correct temp, but no more than 300 for 5-6 mins, then check the sealant, once it gets gooey go to town with a small putty knife or similar. Dont tug on the lens just pry around and loosen it from the sealant and be careful around the tabs on top. It takes alot of patience and lots of in/out of the oven.
Once you get them apart you have to get all that old sealant out, and theres alot. This is where i made my mistake and my lights never resealed that well. I actually just took them off because they were getting foggy. Im about to do another set with red ccfl halos and the audi led mod |
