hows our members doing in Houston and SE TX? I know you guys probably dont have access to electricity at the moment, but if you see this let us know how you are doing.

Ill be coming to Houston this weekend to help a friend clean up his property and patch his roof up. If anyone needs something let me know and Ill see what I can do for you.

Im alive. Got a tree on the house, but we got it pulled off and cut up. Had a bit of water damage in Kristen and I's bedroom from rain leaking in, all the sheetrock came down. We will live though.

We got power back Friday night about 8ish. Today is the first day that the internet has been up though. Not that Ive had time really to post, we have been wearing out chainsaw chains like mad over the last week.

i can imagine...i almost went up this past weekend but my friends family got power thur night so they had most everyhting done by the time i could head up saturday..saw a video yesterday of galveston...holy shit its bad...I really loved that place too but its gonna be a long time til its put back together.

thank god for the a'c huh...atleast it was somewhat cool last week

a tree put a nice dent on the side of my car, roof leaked small piece of the ceiling came in, fence came down. insurance guy came and looked at everything but I will try to do all the work myself. they would cover the damage to my car though.

Yea, its nice to have the power back but actually, I kind of enjoyed the "rustic" living. We spent most of the time, that we werent cutting trees, out on the porch with the cooler and cold beers watching the world go by. It was very peaceful. We also a generator so we could still keep our perishables and do laundry etc.. And our local water system learned a lesson from Rita in '05, they installed a huge propane Generac generator to keep the water flowing, so we never lost our water through the whole thing.

i made it fine so did my eclipse my mom went to dallas so i drove my car up there to keep it away from serious or minor damage!
