I really can't believe it's over...
It just dawned on me moments ago. A Friday past. No more Battlestar Galactica.
For those of you who still, to this day, have not seen this monumentally profound masterpiece, for fear of being disappointed or drawn away by the stigma of "Science Fiction", I promise you - if you can appreciate depth of character, conflict, strife, struggle; pain, fear, joy; and the intricacies of human nature and of life - drama as it is, and reality among us and around us - you will understand why it will be very difficult to top Battlestar Galactica... the absolute best show on Television. And after four years of wonderful storytelling, top-caliber acting, and unrelenting pursuit of breaking convention and surpassing expectations... It's finally over. It's over... and it saddens me beyond reason. Another good thing gone. A great run, BSG... Lest We Forget... The second and third videos are embed-disabled by poster/author, albeit very, very good videos. Recommended viewing as they're very tastefully made. Please don't view the last two videos if you haven't already seen the series from beginning to end. It will ruin everything if you plan on one day seeing the show. Hopefully when it comes out in HD. ![]() ![]() .

It really is a great show. I don't know any to date that can match up to its caliber.
I mean, good shows yes - plenty. But the depth of the drama, quality acting, and gritty, in your face storytelling and production that's so far relieved from the stereotypical clean, relieved, and detached SciFi shows like Star Trek, Star Wars, SG-1, etc. You really and truly can relate more to what's going on with the characters and the plot than, say, those of other good shows like Lost or One Tree Hill or... heck, pick a flick It really and truly is a "Space Opera" that was timely in the wake of 9/11 as it is now, when we're challenged to rethink our ways of life amid strange uncertainty with the economy and whatever else is going on around the world. The other favorite show is Chuck. But that's the lighter variety of great show. I can only hope the spinoff of BSG will be as good. Caprica...

I think I'd watch that over dollhouse... which has been a little slow, I'll admit.

There at least two BSG TV movies in the can, pluse we have Stargate:Universe on tap for later this year. Plus Star Trek:90210 and a few others.
It's not the end of the world, just a transition to a few new ones. And don't forget the BSG props auction. The full-sized Viper is still available......

Yeah I know
![]() What's the other TV movie? I was only aware of the one last announced movie from SciFi, retelling the story from the POV of the Cylons. Are you referring to The Second Coming, the movie based on the original series?
