"NOOBS LOOK HERE" stickies - Club4G Forum : Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G Forums - 2006-2012 Eclipse Authority

i understand we have a noobs section, but with the numerous threads popping up regarding injen vs fujita, SR or CAI, etc....maybe each section (that requires one) could have a "locked thread" call NOOBS LOOK HERE FIRST or something. it should remain locked so it only has vital information and not worthless side chatter. inside of the thread could be point blank answers to questions that are asked 3 times a month by the new guys.....or better yet you could show the questions (like "whats better injen or fujita?") then just link the millions of threads that answer the questions.

i know some of you will say no cuz they need to learn how to search and some people just enjoy bitching at them, but people have been saying "search" since the internet was created and noobs will still ask. im just getting tired of seeing posts like "use the search button" "dont make a new thread" instead of people helping and noobs getting turned off from the club.

i know this wont stop repetitive threads, but at least it could help. what do you guys think? (i searched to see if this was has been brought up but didnt find anything)

I like the idea if its not just search but the anwsers to them so they can be lazy and not search but save us the time lol

there needs to be a mandatory orientation session for newly registered users. like when one registers it prompts them to view the rules, maybe even a short exam afterwords.

Maybe where they can read threads but to post must go through a short briefing with a 5 question exAm and must get 4 out of 5 to make there first post. I don't know if russ would be done but I am and would even help make up a briefing or something with the help of ideas from premium members

I really dont think russ would go through with a quiz like thing or if vbulletin allows it, but a briefing statement might pop out tho to atleast some. I would be willing to gather ideas between members and create something.

Exactly or maybe Mattmans idea with a statement during registration to before post read each sections"Common questions and anwsers" thread. I still like the exam idea. I just doubt VBulletin handles such thing.

We have a whole staff of volunteers to keep this forum running smoothly by creating rules and policing their forums for noobs to follow. Similar to how the FS forum stickies work.
