Just figured I would put this Idea in the proper place.
I think we should create a premium lounge, locked away from the prying eyes of google, and a place where we can haz mad fun!

I set Off Topic away from the prying eyes of Google by no longer displaying ads there. Also you can no longer see Off Topic unless you are logged in. Since then I have relaxed the rules of posting adult content.

Beyond that, what other reasons do we need a premium member's lounge?

Not much that i can think of. Generally you give special rights to vendor forums and maybe car clubs/groups within the forum. Or you could have more games or other forum modules that just premies get.

The real reason is to give your premium members a real reason to FEEL premium... PLUS, the vendors could have a place ot offer really good deals to premium members, and well, you could let the prems really go wild LOL...

i remember back when we had the beef with the MS3 forum, their premium required to donate such as we did, but when you were a premium you were able to access video's, threads, and vendors in the forum that non premiums couldnt access

Quite the opposite. But if you offer something special for the premies i'm willing to bet you'll get a little more in the way of donations.

At that point, I would remove donations and turn it into an actual premium membership and sell memberships for the year or lifetime. I never wanted to do that, so I'll have to give it some thought.

thats not the point, it would still be about donations, but donating earns you some cool stuff... instead of stickers

No not at all, I felt no presure at all when I first came here. Let's be honest, if more people donated it would make this place easily more awesome than it already is. So consider a premium members lounge a good middle where you can kindly suggest "hey wanna donate get a cool lounge on top of the other perks".

But nah no shoving down the throat it's good the way it is, but this would possibly boost premium members...?

Edit: what I mean by what I said in the first post was making a premium lounge imo would be a really really good "pressure free" way to get more people to donate.

i think it would be a good idea also..... everyone wants to feel special.

if it werent for the "premium member" designator under my name, i probably wouldnt have donated. an exclusive lounge for premium members would be a great perk because it makes members feel special.

I know I'm not a premium member, but to help tim out in any way... I believe it's a good idea, then it would intise members to donate... I know I would... Make the premium members special
