I have a thought. Can we have monthly raffles that members can purchase a chance to win maybe a $20 gas card or some other gift? Details would have to be worked out but it could serve as a way to get some $ into the site.

haha even better 50$$ gas card 2 bucks to get in im sure people would do it but i think the only problem would be the paypal fees or whatever for such a small transaction but nice idea man or even regular raffles for things people need for their cars like some halo projectors? 5 bucks to get in? i think that would make some profit haha

no offense but how could we make sure the drawling is random. i like the idea otherwise.

This is a fantastic idea, but short of having to hire 3rd party help to pull the winning ticket every month, I'm not sure how I could assure everyone this contest will always be held to the highest standards of ethical security.

Maybe donations made by an outside vendor?

This would allow publicity and media advertising through the site.

Example:

Vendor X supplies eye lids for May's raffle. Vendor X receives credit in the month's raffle post and a "call out" above the COTHM on the home page. Vendor X is glorified through logo, imagery, and services on the raffle post and home page "call out"

Since Vendor X supplied the donation in return for advertising, they are the one to pick the winning ticket/number.

Again, it's just an idea. The hard part would be finding interested vendors. I'm sure if it caught on others would follow more easily.
