Site slowdowns - Club4G Forum : Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G Forums - 2006-2012 Eclipse Authority

As a result of how popular the site has become, it has now exceeded the limits of the webhosting we currently are running the site on.

For the time being, I have set a server load limit capacity so you may now experience "Server to busy" from time to time.

Also, the arcade has been disabled for registered users. The arcade was simply a bonus feature that was added when the forum first opened but now provides to be a potential burden on the site. I felt that the site needs all the processing power we can get for it's primary focus on the 4th Generation Eclipse.

My apologies for these changes, but we are currently evaluating upgrading the site's server.

Thanks for the swift action on this Russ, you do an amazing job. Although i'm sure a few might whine about the Arcade at this point it's obviously in everyones best interests.

If you really really are sad you can't play a certain flash game i'm sure you can find it via Google for the time being as well.

The donation feature is new as a result of the milestone the forum has taken. The costs of running this forum are going to start going up now that we've burdened our web host as we will be moving the site to it's own server now.

At this moment in time, there is not much more I can do to minimize the server load and keep our web host happy. Last night I even switched it out so that guests can no longer view thread content without actually logging in.

I have requested a Virtual Private server so that we can alleviate these slow downs. I am working as quickly as possible to restore the quality of service in which you all have come to expect

That's what I had to do @ Club9G, I disabled viewing so it says Private unless you're registered and logged in...

It's a burden because you have to log in but provides an incentive for people to post up as well!

Either way, I'll throw some money your way lol

Sweet, so just as a suggestion, you should list the benefits of being a sperm donor, I mean a money donator for the site!

Guys i cant help but keep feeling this was my fault, so, sorry for the slowdowns and all, and Russ all i have atm is $40 and ill give it to you, ASAP, sucks not having a credit card lol.
