Tires on 19" Diameter

Hello Everyone Im new,

I need some help,

I have 19" x 8.50 Rims, currently with 225/35 x 19 tires,

These tires are way too thin for my town with many potholes, what is the biggest tires I can buy and i wont have a problem when turning the wheel,

I know is based on some type of radius or something,

please help, even one size higher would help but if I know i can put bigger tires that would be great

I suggest smaller rims... Bigger tires will ruin your handling and power with more sprung weight, and rotational mass. I won't say it can't be done, but I will say in good faith I won't promote it.

Get some 18" rims and put some 45 sidewall tires on

Thank you for your response,

so a 245 /35/19

or a 255 /35/19

can ruin my handling?

That's width, not diameter. Width doesn't absorb impacts from pot holes either. Sidewall height does

Lifted it about a inch so almost mini truckin but hey daily driving and occasionally needing to go over curbs to get around dumb drivers the height is helpful

Either you were running with one tiny strip of rubber on the 17" rim, or a low quality rim, hate to say it.

Factory rims cracked and bent all 4 and stock tires. Changed to different 17s still had same problem after 8 tires and 6 wheels they became discontinued lol i had some bad luck the thicker 235 over 225 seemed to make a difference

Ive gone through some tires but luckily most were insured from road hazards and most rims were replaced til they discontinued then i got a set off a mustang with tires and have kept the same size tires since our cars are about as heavy as a mustang it made since to me

Holy shit, those are bad. I drive mostly care free, even lowered. I hit one bump that made my instrument cluster come unplugged from the ECU. That was so nasty I ended up pulling over to recover. Otherwise, pretty smooth sailing, just gotta know which parking lots I can and can't get into.
