You haz Stance?

Post up pics of your stance
INCLUDE: Suspension, Tire and Wheel Dimensions. Plus any additional stuff like spacer

Mine:
18x8.5 +30 with 15mm H&R Hubcentric Spacers in the rear.
Currently Running: 255/40/18 Hankook Ventus v12 Evos
Will be switching to: 245/40
Suspension: MR Coilovers Front, GR2 w/ S-Techs in the rear.
I will be replacing the rear with a custom set of BR Series Coilovers.

Sweet "stance" on your GS.

Got a question though. What's with the plan to switch from 255 to 245? I would think 255 sits better on 8.5" wide wheels and the reason I say this is because the 245 on my 8.5" wheels look like the tires could be a bit wider.

Because for my taste I want 245. I dont like the way the 255 sits, plus I need a thinner tire due to rubbing.

i have 4x4 stance soo.. 17x7 (i believe) and 225/45/17 im really considering lowering though. your car looks bad ass and not like a hippo with anorexic legs on its tip toes

EDIT: wouldnt putting spacers on the rear help with body roll, but make you weary of being too wide? cause our fenders take up like 95% of one lane. i see your tires dont stick out much further than the fenders but still..

Yes, widening your stance always helps with centering of gravity in return increased handling and a sexier look

The rear sticks out a bit, but not anything crazy. I will be removing the spacers once I drop the rear another .75"

im like flooding this post now. but im thinking about getting some 18x8 Enkei Imola rims.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand
theyre kinda cheap but ive never heard anything bad about them and our OEM rims are enkei lol. and prolly cost mitsu 20 a wheel so already better quality!

well, im sure not many members would attempt that craZy fitment on an eclipse. but looks good.not sure how hard turning is and the radius as well. they do have sorta flush fitting and less complicated fitments. plus hubcentric spacers, just beware, for the legit kind they run $120 a set...people buy ebay, but i wouldnt cheap out on an important aspect.

If you stretch the tires, you get a smaller contact patch which should result in less traction. Don't do it, Ryan.

oh yeah, it looks nice but not my thing. i like the intense and enthusiastic daily driving. bushings, bars, etc. i will be going down from 255/4o to 245/40 when i get the rear coilovers made.

the thing is that unless you thorwing down like around 350+ you really dont need them that wide a 235 or 225 should do the trick for you ryan since i have a 225 on a 10 and i take 70 degree corners at 65 somtimes...jus set your coils at the stiffest..but if you want all ourt performace go wit 17s a 45 series tire a 17x8.5 with 245 would do the trick for track work

ive already figured out what setup works best for me. and stretching that much does nothing but harm your performance. going down to 17s and a 45 series wouldnt really do anything either.

im talking about turning radius, not the fact that you can make a 70 degree turn at 65mph... 2-point and so on.

whats width of my tire have to relate to me putting down 350+ ? no correlation. tire roll and all that i have taken into consideration when doin autox/touge. i would not attempt that with a heavilystretchedtire. unless you want a blow out.

the point is, i am good where i am at and 245 is the lowest ill go for my x8.5.
and as far as going lower, i love where i am at. i have seen all the issues youve gone thru..oilpans, axles, etc...no thanks. especially on a dd. maybe if it was a strictly car show. but not for the occassional mountain/autox runs and daily spirited driving.

unless you get a tire specialized for stretching, its not safe.
and its not my taste as previously stated. looks nice, but not my thing.

I know I'm bringing back an old thread, but I've been on stanceworks all morning and remembered this thread. I'm thinking of buying a cheap car for a DD and then tossing some money at the eclipse to get the stance more like I want it, with some different wheels. Where I live I couldn't do any lower then what I have and be a good dd.

Here are some pics of how she sits now.
