So I dont want to be a new member like everyone else and say the same old same old "blah blah blah im going to get a turbo for my gs... one day" So I decided to man up and do it. Im on my third day of the installation and I am fairly confident everything is going to go as planned it has so far. I would have to say the hardest aspect of it all was the welding of the oil pan tap. My friend/room mate is an avid mechanic and outside of the time he works at the Custom Fabrication auto/tuning place her works at we hit my the garage and are attempting to knock this out before next monday (when I have to work again) here are some pictures of what I have done so far. If you have any questions feel free to ask, enjoy :p.

The heat wrap in my opinion wasnt done very well by the person before me (no offense to whoever it was or may be on here) but just a word of advice when wrapping something witht he fiberglass wrap be sure to soak it in water for a good 10-20 minutes before hand so when you apply it, it will dry a lot tighter than it was when applied.

here are some close ups of where I decided to tap it for the oil return Kudos again to my room mate for the welding fab job.

those are most of the pictures I have, I should have this running in a day or two tops hopefully before Saturday. Im pretty stoked about all of this, ok thats all for now Pce!

Yeah one of my biggest pet peves in life is some saying something like "yeah imm do this" or "yeah one day for my car imma do this and that and what not..." well stfu and do it dont just talk about what you want to do anyone can do that. I was planning this for about a month but didnt want to tell anyone really until I got my hands dirty and started the build.

They are 440c and I am using the Evo8 fuel rail... It should be somewhere in the first picture on the page. its hard to find the ziplock with the injectors though. If you would like I can take a picture of them if you want, and as for the intercooler it came with the kit. My room mate has one (IC) he used for his 240 when he had the RB20 in it. It's much bigger and he said if I wanted to use that one I was more than welcome to but for the time being I am going to stick with this till I up the boost. I have 3 springs for thw wastegate and I am using the one rated at 6.25lbs first. I am going to start with the smallest spring and slowly work my way up to the other two as I upgrade the clutch (thats a big thing I want to do mine is really bad) dont get me wrong when the car runs it will be far from done, their is still a lot I want to do to it but im going to keep my mouth closed till i actually have the parts and do it. its who I am

He's almost the same way, he is supervising everything I am doing. I am trying to do as much as possible because this is my car and I need to understand every single aspect of this build you know so if something problematic happens down the road I can take care of it. I would be a liar if I said I could do this without him though, I can't. But I'm doing/learning as much as humanly possible.

I just finished for the night and I was able to put the oil pan back on, get the oil return line secure and some of the downpipe started, and I messed around with the paint a little more hehe

More tomorrow!

looks GREAT man! and don't listen to the haters on your small FMIC.... you need to match your IC to your boost levels.. too big and you loose pressure.. to small and your backing shit up... and Im guessing your not going to run more then 6-7lbs of boost so that IC should be fine for now...
you should see the stock SMIC(s) on the GSX, or the TT 300zx

What he said but if your asking about specific model it's a Garret T3/T4

Darkside, for sure. It's a small place called street customs and they mostly work on trucks but apparently they get a few excotics every now and then. He has tuned turbos on the side for a little while now. Never messed with a GS build... Obv but I'm sure with some time we can work out a pretty smooth tune. I'm not sure if they do tunes specifically at his work but he is one of the most knowledgable people I know as far as it comes to Clarksville/Ft campbell

And isamu that's exactly what he said, almost literally. My man

Ok guys its been a day or two and I have a few more things taken care of. I am having issues de pinning the ecu harness for the F/IC and proper install so I am going to cut and solder the wires to the harness VS taking them out putting new ones in ect for anyone who has installed this they know what I mean. I ripped my shifter out and im cutting a good 1.5 inches off instead of buying a short shifter and I ripped the whole exhaust out today. Tomorrow my roomy is gonna weld me up a rear piece of exhaust for my new muffler (which I dont have yet) and for the time being it will have to work until I get A 3inch muffler in the next week or two ( I have the downpipe and everything else already). Besides that almost all of the wiring is taken care of and im sorry to say I am a day or two behind schedule but when you work on cars with a project like this its to be expected. Turn key should happen by late saturday/early sunday now. Ill be sure to take some detailed pictures of my progress but rite now its too late and the garage lighting isnt doing any justice, pce.

My car left for Kentucky today I am going to miss her for the next month. Just an FYI though if your cutting off the top you are going to need re-weld it back on to the bottom of the shifter. The size of the top is not what actually makes a short shifter. What makes a short shifter is a longer bottom half
